The WBBA is comprised of Core Members and Associate Members.
Core member companies conduct research, develop, manufacture, or sell biotechnology or medical device and technology products.
Associate members support the biotechnology and or medical device sector (ie, legal services, accounting firms, construction companies, marketing, education, financial services or consulting firms. Associate members are eligible for many of our discount programs.

Please note: Under present law, dues paid to an Association for lobbying expenses directed at state and federal government are not deductible as an ordinary and necessary business expense. The WBBA budget has allocated 11% of our budget for direct lobbying activities.

Gold Leaders - $5,000 (All Associate Members and Member Companies with 1-499 employees in Washington)
Gold Leaders - $7,500 (All Member Companies with 500+ employees in Washington)
Core Institutional Members are nonprofit institutions or nonprofit agencies that are involved in biotechnology or biomedical research, provide services to biotechnology or biomedical companies or otherwise have an interest in the industries.

Ask if you qualify to be Core Emerging Company.
These are for-profit company engaged in biotechnology or medical device research and development, that has 10 or fewer employees. The company cannot have been a member of WBBA in the previous 24 months. The Emerging Company pays $100 membership dues in Year 1, and $250 dues in Year 2, and then graduates to full dues rates in Year 3.
Standard WBBA membership dues are determined by the number of company or organization employees in the state of Washington and are based on a calendar year. For those join after July 1, membership dues are pro-rated by 50 percent.
